Domaine Payen

The story begins in 2023. Fabrice Martin, head of the Gaec Martin estate, passed away. The 28-hectare property located in Chaudefonds-sur-Layon had just begun its conversion to organic farming. Ludovic Payen decided to interrupt his apprenticeship at Coulée de Serrant to take over the estate at short notice. There, he relied on the existing teams to manage the harvest season. At 27, Ludovic also benefited from his experience gained at Comte Liger-Belair in Burgundy. Creating Domaine Payen was, for him, an opportunity to express his appreciation for the Anjou terroir through pure and vibrant wines .
