Antraigue is the youngest plot of the estate. Planted by Christian Rouchier in 2016, just a few meters from La Chave, it brings together Syrah, Marsanne, and Viognier on a granitic hillside in Saint-Jean-de-Muzols. This cuvée reveals its most direct expression.
The 2023 vintage offers a Syrah of great freshness. The nose opens with wild blackberry, black cherry, pepper, and Mediterranean herbs, with a discreet smoky touch reminiscent of sun-warmed granite.
The palate is slender, carried by a fine texture and delicate tannins. Nothing is ostentatious: the fruit remains precise, the spice accompanies without dominating, and the finish, saline and slightly graphite, prolongs the sensation of freshness.
A luminous and profoundly digestible Syrah, which accurately reflects Christian Rouchier's style: wines of relief, energy, and finesse.
