Collection: Maison Valette

In the Mâconnais region, few estates have made such an impact as Maison Valette.

For three generations, the family has patiently built a singular body of work, becoming a benchmark for all those interested in great terroir-driven white wines.

When Philippe Valette took over the estate, he very early on began a deep reflection on cultivation practices. The conversion to biodynamics began in 1992, at a time when this approach was still marginal in Burgundy.

The vineyard is managed with superficial soil work, natural grass cover, and a constant search for balance between the vine and its environment. The objective is simple: to promote deep root growth so that each terroir can express itself as accurately as possible.

In the cellar, time becomes a true winemaking tool.

Aging systematically exceeds three years, including at least twenty-four months in barrels. This patience allows the wine to naturally find its balance, refine its texture, and gain stability without excessive intervention.

Some cuvées push this logic even further. Clos de Monsieur Noly only leaves the cellar after nearly ten years of aging, before continuing a long maturation in the bottle. These wines are designed to last for decades.

The signature of Maison Valette is immediately recognizable: a profound texture, never heavy, carried by a mineral energy that extends the finishes and gives each wine that characteristic mouth-watering sensation.

Throughout our tastings, we rediscovered what has long made the estate's reputation: wines of remarkable precision, capable of combining richness, purity, and tension with rare consistency.
