Clos des Vaudelles 2023 is the first vintage of this cuvée by Étienne Bodet. In Montreuil-Bellay, the old Cabernet Franc vines grow on Oxfordian marl, a distinctive terroir within the Saumur appellation.
The nose combines raspberry, redcurrant and blackberry, with floral nuances and a subtle smoky note.
The palate charms with its supple texture and finely grained tannins. The wine unfolds gently, retaining a precise structure that frames the fruit and carries it through the finish.
A Cabernet Franc whose depth reveals itself in the details: the texture of its tannins, the delicacy of its aromas and their persistence.
