Les Graippeaux 2023 comes from a plot of old Chenin vines near Montreuil-Bellay, in Ternay. These 70-year-old vines, propagated through massal selection, are rooted in sandy and clay-rich loam over green chalk.
The nose opens with ripe citrus, white-fleshed fruit, dried flowers and a delicate chalky note that becomes more defined with aeration.
The palate combines depth and tension. Its generous texture is supported by precise acidity, carrying the wine through to a long, saline finish.
Twenty-two months of ageing in 400-litre oak barrels shape this expression of Chenin, where depth of texture meets the freshness of the terroir.
