Les Graippeaux 2024 marks the final chapter for this cuvée. For this last release, fruit from the old Chenin vines in Ternay is joined by grapes from Les Pouches, a plot on the family estate that will subsequently produce a new white wine.
The nose reveals white-fleshed fruit, fresh apple and candied citrus. With aeration, notes of beeswax, honey and warm bread add further complexity.
On the palate, freshness leads the way, while lees work adds volume and softens the texture. The finish remains graceful, lingering on citrus-peel bitters.
A Chenin whose appeal lies in the balance between texture and vibrancy. Give it time to open up and reveal its full range of nuances.
