Mâcon Chaintré Vieilles Vignes

Mâcon-Chaintré Vieilles Vignes comes from a Chardonnay plot planted over sixty years ago, on the clay-limestone soils of Chaintré.

As is often the case with Philippe Valette, time is an integral part of the winemaking process. This blend of several vintages reveals a full body, already perfectly settled, without ever losing its energy.

The nose opens with ripe white fruits, candied citrus, dried flowers, and a slightly smoky touch. The palate is deep, dense, carried by a mineral tension that stretches the wine to a long, saline, and intensely mouth-watering finish.

A great gastronomic Chardonnay, both generous and remarkably precise.
