The finest Chasselas wines never seek to impress with exuberance. They proceed calmly, allowing the terroir to express itself before the grape variety. Mon Blanc des Alpes 2022 belongs to this family of wines where everything seems to flow naturally.
Hailing from the Marignan hillsides, on the shores of Lake Geneva, this Chasselas draws its personality from glacial moraines and clay-limestone soils, which impart its characteristic tension to the wine. Directly pressed, naturally fermented, then aged in old barrels without superfluous intervention, it retains all the energy of the grape and the purity of its origin.
In the glass, the wine captivates with its precision. White flowers, ripe citrus, and a delicate touch of wet stone open the tasting before giving way to a direct, chiseled, almost saline palate. The texture remains fine, airy, carried by a freshness that evokes the proximity of Lake Geneva. The long, vibrant finish naturally calls for another sip.
A Chasselas of great accuracy, elegantly demonstrating why Savoie is today one of France's most exciting wine regions.
