La Canuse 2024 is one of Thibaud Capellaro's most unique cuvées. Primarily composed of Viognier, with a touch of Syrah, it is born from a short whole-bunch maceration before being pressed on the lees of the Côte-Rôtie cuvée. This uncommon approach gives the wine a subtle depth and fascinating texture.
The nose reveals notes of fresh apricot, orange peel, sweet spices, and dried flowers, gradually joined by nuances of black tea and warm stone.
On the palate, the wine is distinguished by its serenity. More introspective than demonstrative, it unfurls a supple and silky texture, underpinned by a beautiful freshness. The few days of maceration provide just the right amount of relief, while pressing on the Côte-Rôtie lees enriches the texture without ever weighing down the wine.
A wine of nuance and depth, whose long, saline finish invites you to take your time.
