Aligato 2022

Here, the Aligoté reveals a very different face from what is often expected of it. The fruit is ripe, with delicate white flowers, and citrus notes provide brightness without ever dominating. The aging process has slowly broadened the wine, giving it an ample, almost caressing texture, which is awakened by a taut and long-lasting saline finish.

The grapes come from Bouzeron, the historic birthplace of the varietal. In the hands of François Rousset-Martin, they find another interpretation: freer, more patient, where time matters more than recipes.

Aligato is a wine of balance. It retains the natural freshness of Aligoté while offering it an unusual depth. A bottle that reminds us how luminous this grape variety can be when treated with such precision.
