La Croix des Batailles 2024

La Croix des Batailles brings the Jura and the Mâconnais together through Pinot Noir. Crafted by Anne and Jean-François Ganevat, this cuvée continues their exploration of blending grapes from different places, united by a shared pursuit of finesse and expressive fruit.

Semi-carbonic maceration favours gentle extraction, followed by ageing in a large wooden vessel. Fresh red berries form the aromatic core, with floral and spicy nuances. As the wine opens, earthier notes lend depth to the fruit.

On the palate, crisp fruit meets a supple texture framed by fine tannins. Freshness carries the wine as it unfolds, maintaining a slender line. The tannins have a gently powdery feel, leading into a finish that extends the floral and peppery notes.

A graceful Pinot Noir whose delicacy allows its depth and definition to emerge.
