With Antide, Jean-François Ganevat gives Savagnin the time to reveal its full depth. The cuvée brings together old vines rooted in several marl and shale terroirs in the southern Jura. Savagnin Vert takes a central role, alongside Savagnin Jaune, combining richness of texture with energy.
The 2018 vintage spent seven years on its lees, in demi-muids and stoneware amphorae. Throughout this extended ageing, the vessels were kept topped up, shaping a broad texture while preserving freshness. Time brings depth, refines the wine’s contours and allows the different expressions of Savagnin to come together.
The aromatic profile combines yellow fruit, citrus zest and fine herbs, with hints of fresh almond and a smoky touch. On the palate, generous fruit is threaded with lively acidity that gives the wine its direction. Delicate bitter notes accompany a long, saline finish, where richness retains its sense of movement.
A Savagnin of great depth, its long ageing bringing breadth, precision and persistence into harmony.
