La Canuse 2023

La Canuse 2023 is one of Thibaud Capellaro's most unique cuvées. Composed mainly of Viognier, complemented by a hint of Syrah, it results from a short whole-bunch maceration before being pressed on the skins of the Côte-Rôtie cuvée. This uncommon approach gives the wine a subtle depth and a fascinating texture.

The nose reveals notes of fresh apricot, orange peel, sweet spices, and dried flowers, gradually joined by nuances of black tea and warm stone.

On the palate, the wine stands out for its serenity. More introspective than demonstrative, it unfolds with a supple and silky texture, underscored by a beautiful freshness. The few days of maceration provide just enough structure, while the passage over the Côte-Rôtie skins enriches the texture without ever weighing down the wine.
