Six growers, six perspectives on contemporary Champagne.
For this new masterclass, we’re widening the lens.
From Bouzy to Cramant, from the Marne Valley to the Massif de Saint-Thierry, six growers who have recently joined or returned to our selection reveal a remarkably diverse vision of Champagne: Antoine Bouvet, Alexandre Chaillon, J.M Gandon, Flavien Nowack, Maxime Oudiette and Georges Remy.
Different origins, grape varieties and sensibilities. Different approaches to soils, oak, ageing and time. Yet all share the same desire to make Champagne a wine of place before a wine of style.
Throughout the tasting, we’ll explore these different expressions: the roles of Meunier and Pinot Noir, the influence of chalk and more complex soils, reserve wines, ageing, time on the lees, disgorgement and dosage — all choices that allow remarkably distinct identities to emerge within a single region.
Grand Angle — a wide-angle view: not an attempt to sum up Champagne in one evening, but an opportunity to explore several of its faces through a selection of wines we’re particularly excited to share with you.
