RieRie 2021

Maylis Bernard established her estate in 2018 in Rotalier, in the southern Jura region. For her first vintages, she worked with négociants and found some beautiful organic grapes, which she vinified with great precision, without any additives. She chose to name her estate Zéroine (Zero) because her wines are "zero in" except for the beautiful organic grapes harvested at perfect ripeness. Maceration is carried out using the infusion method, meaning the grapes are left undisturbed: no pumping over or punching down.

Rierie is made from Riesling grapes purchased near Obernay in Alsace. The grapes underwent direct pressing and were transferred to barrels after light settling. The juice was then transferred to 14hl casks for fermentation and vinification. The wine was aged for two years in oak casks with topping up every two weeks.
